Just waitin'

Check out this cute sample that was done by Lisa Noland, a customer of The Stamp Shoppe. See more of her work on her blog. The snowflakes were glittered with ultra fine glitter. The Penguin was colored with Copic markers. I just love the way she poped the penguin with the cool blue Copics around the image. The snowballs are 3D with the snow marker. Very cute card Lisa!!

Mr. Frost Sends Snowy Greetings!

It's raining here today....but if it were a bit colder we'd be seeing the white stuff! I just love large Mr. Frost....he's adorably cute and perfect to send Snowy Greetings to someone you know! Copics and Spica glitter pens are all you need to dress him up! Use your paper scuffer to distress the edges for a fun frosty feel! Glitter dots from Dress It Up! will add some glitz to your snowflakes!

Pop down to the Stamp Shoppe and check out all of the new images from Stamp Shoppe Creations and Let it snow, let it snow, let it snow!!

DUDE!!!

I needed a quick birthday card recently. My son is pretty particular about such things---it's very important when you are 11 to be "cool." Heidi's new stamp line did just the trick, however, and got rave reviews from both the giver and receiver! I'm thinkin' if this duo of "Teddie" and sentiment can impress a bunch of 11 year old boys, it's a definite must have!

While I colored some parts of the image with Copic markers, I paper pieced Teddie's clothes. It's a fun and precise technique that soothes my soul from time to time!

You can find the entire Stamp Shoppe Creations stamp line in the brick and mortar store or online here!

Is it Ze Birthday?

A friend of ours is 82 today, and so I made this card for her. Making the waiter wear pink, makes it a little more feminine. With the sentiment it's a little humorous, without being too far out. The stamp comes with the cake, but no candle. I stamped a small candle on it from Amuse. Using one of my new sizzlits border dies, I added some vines for the flowers. We hope ze has a wonderful day!

Introducing Jacques

Is Jacques not the cutest lion ever??? I knew the moment I saw him, he was a must have--I'm certainly not disappointed at all after his first inking! Truely fun to color and a hoot when combined with "ze sentiment!" I often struggle with masculine cards and think this image will be a favorite for guys no matter what their age!

I used Copic markers to color Jacques Serves and the Out of the Box technique to finish off the image piece. My background was done using the Simple Green Spritz technique and was just the right amount of interesting to pull the whole card together! To learn more about these techniques and others, join me for one of my technique based classes or see here.

Happy Stamping :)

Blog Candy???

Next week our Store blog should be up and running!! As soon as it is, we will be announcing some blog candy...so keep checking out this blog. Here is my Relaxing penguin. It was a request from my friend Jane and he has been popular in the store. NOTICE the strip of embossing is from the new cuttlebug winter border set. We have all our new Christmas folders in, so be sure to check them out before they are gone. I used a previous MoJo Monday sketch challenge for the layout. The penguin is colored with Copics and accented with some Spica pens. If you are in Wausau, Wisconsin this weekend, be sure to come to the Stamp & Scrap Expo. We will be debuting our stamps there!
